I am writing a book, along with Ruth Ayres, for Stenhouse Publishers.  The working title of the book is Writing 180, which defines six essential areas of Writing Workshop (assessment, choice, conferring, mentor texts, minilessons, and routines/procedures), with celebration/sharing woven in throughout each of the six areas.    Each essential area will contain three ten-day cycles to inspire and support teachers as they work to lift the level of the Writing Workshops they lead during the school year.
